Lucy Pavlick

Lucy’s first yoga class was 27 years ago when she was pregnant with her first child – she was instantly “hooked.” This was her first introduction to meditation, the power of stillness, and the transformative nature of yoga. Lucy has practiced at various studios throughout the city, and was introduced to World Peace Yoga when one of her kids, who attended UC, invited her to class with them. The space felt genuine and comforting, and Lucy was grateful that her child had this exposure and experience.

Lucy is a life-long learner and teacher: from a teenage camp counselor for children with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, to a special educator, Girl Scout leader, reading tutor and children’s yoga instructor, Lucy is happiest when engaging with children.

She views the world through a lens of curiosity and knows that children foster this. Lucy completed her 300 hour foundational YTT at WPY in May 2023 and relishes the time she spent in the studio building relationships based on trust, compassion and harmony in a peaceful, accepting space. She is currently working on her Advanced WPY Certification.

When she is not on her mat, Lucy takes her practice out into the world through gardening, hiking, and volunteering throughout the city. Lucy’s motto for sharing a peaceful practice is ~meeting people where they are, as they are~.
