What brought me to World Peace Yoga…

What brought me to World Peace Yoga was that I was searching for a place to learn how to meditate to enhance my spirituality.

I was hooked after the 30 Days Freedom month, which allowed you to take classes free of charge for a month.

I found World Peace Yoga to be a welcoming, community centered studio that invited all people in. Also there was something about the instructors at the studio that was appealing to me. I needed to find out what made the instructors so unique.

After some months of practicing with the amazing instructors, I decided to find out more about this yoga thing.

So, this over 70 years old retiree, who also has spinal stenosis, and joint pains decided to sign up for the Yoga Teacher Training, YTT. That was the best decision I ever made.

As I continued to take classes and participate in the YTT, I noticed some subtle changes that crept up on me.

Continuous yoga practice is addictive, in a good way. It gives you inner peace, calmness, and stress relief. You discover your authentic self. I found the reasons for the changes during the training and the assigned readings.

The assigned readings and the recommended books help you understand the Yoga philosophy. The readings on Yoga Anatomy are so helpful that you gain an understanding of the subtle changes that occur in your body as you go through yoga poses.

Yoga Teacher Training made me aware of how yoga can contribute to quality of life, I discovered that there is no conflict between yogic philosophy and my own Christian practices. In fact, it has deepened my own spirituality.
