GO DEEPER
“The Advanced Teacher Training Program at World Peace Yoga was a dynamic program that provided an opportunity to become a more knowledgeable, well-rounded, and confident yoga instructor. I attended workshops on trauma yoga, yoga nidra, yoga as a business, anatomy, public speaking, and the positive impact of plant-based eating, all of which provided a wealth of knowledge. I had the opportunity to practice and learn from renowned yoga practitioners including Doug Swenson and Julie Kirkpatrick, and from all the incredible people that attended teacher training with me. The training creates a beautifully supportive space to learn, grow, practice, question, and reveal inner strengths and abilities.” –Lexi Sheets
About the Program
Participate in this program whether you are near or far! Join us in person at the studio or remotely via online live stream.
This program offers a path to deepen and evolve your spiritual growth. Whether having taught yoga for a number of years or a having recently graduated from a yoga training, one may realize that they are still in the early stages of inculcating the vast amount of new information and experiences that were presented in their first training experience. Here is where this “Go Deeper” training comes in. It accelerates that assimilation in width, breadth and depth, enhancing both the teachers’ own yoga knowledge and personal practice as well as their ability to guide others. This program is structured in a way that one’s practice continues to spiritualize every aspect of their life leading to the realization of the goals of yoga: such as more compassion, deeper intuition, and liberation.
The “Go Deeper” training assists with more wholly integrating the full spectrum of yoga into the practitioners’ daily life, thus enhancing one’s ability to teach postures, breathwork, meditation, and philosophy in a more natural, organic way. The fabulous local and guest presenters, self-directed assignments, and teacher community are highly instrumental in the learning process.
Come together as One Student, One Teacher, and One Community. Unite and deepen in spiritual community, satsang amongst great yogis with the courage to take the practices of yoga to another level. This is a very special opportunity to connect more deeply with your intuition, deepen the multi-faceted aspects of your spiritual lifestyle, and refine your abilities to listen, communicate, share, teach, envision and more deeply experience touch, taste, and smell. Embark on this conscious spiritual evolution on a journey to deep ahimsa (non-violence) and peace.
The World Peace Yoga Part II: Go Deeper Teacher Training is designed for those who have completed a program that meets or exceeds 200 hours of training. This training provides an additional 300 hours of training to deepen personal practice and advance teaching skills.

The advanced teacher training, however, has allowed me to expand my knowledge, understanding and practice in both depth and breadth. Both my spiritual practice and my teaching have been greatly enhanced by the self directed assignments and all the inspiring, heart-centered, experienced teachers. Thank you!” –Betsi Heithaus
What is World Peace Yoga?
World Peace Yoga is a holistic, courageous and practical approach to yoga that incorporates practices both on and off the mat, from philosophy and ethics, to physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation, to kitchenasana. World Peace Yoga as a Hatha Yoga style is a practice where we focus on the ancient yogic tradition of ahimsa. Ahimsa is Sanskrit for “non harming” and implies practicing kindness to one’s self, to others, to all living beings, and to the earth. From practicing yoga asana (the postures, which is what many people see as “yoga”), meditation, satsang (gathering in spiritual community) and pranayama (breathing exercises), we have a healthier life with less stress, anxiety, and tension. We encourage the greater development of intuition to make healthier and wiser choices in life. World Peace Yoga is a practice that incorporates physical wellness with spiritual living. It is a style of yoga that touches more than just one aspect of life and motivates a positive transformation in individual and collective lives.
Seven Aspects of a World Peace Yoga Practice:
- Intention: having sincere intention to connect with your authentic self
- Connect to Earth: asana is a pose, seat, or connection to the earth
- Conscious Breathing: the regulation of life force energy through pranayama
- Intuition: connecting with one’s innate intelligence or sixth sense
- Compassion: cultivate love for one’s self and all beings
- Service: being of service to one’s self so one may be of better service to the world
- Meditation: peace of mind
World Peace Yoga asana classes are taught in three main formats, Yoga Basics, Vinyasa Yoga, and Yin-Restorative Yoga. Sequencing is designed to harmonize the chakras, while incorporating the six other aspects in some way, shape, or form.
“Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of ones being, from bodily health to self realization.” – B.K.S. Iyengar“…which is all great if one is self-motivated and consistent in the practice. Alone is tough, and so that’s where community comes in. My time spent in World Peace Yoga Advanced Teacher Training has and continues to feed my soul, my practice, and my evolution. The more I teach and practice, the more I feel I have to learn, and that’s why I choose to be at World Peace Yoga. To be challenged in the practice, to be nurtured toward loving all beings and self, to be inspired to create peace on all levels…let’s just say my time well spent.” –Mary Geibel
The three main World Peace Yoga asana formats defined:
Yoga Basics
Learn the foundational yoga postures typically practiced in a yoga-asana sequence learning precise alignment. There are 5 different class structures you will learn for Basics. This is a wonderful practice for those new to yoga or for those that are established in their practice & want to refine their alignment. Learn the basics of asana (posture) alignment, breath, intention, and relaxation.
Vinyasa Yoga
A vinyasa practice links breath with movement and intention. There are two basic class structures you will learn for the vinyasa practice: beginner and intermediate/advanced with focus on a variety of posture themes. In both practices you will flow through a balanced stream of postures including sun salutations, standing postures, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, relaxation and more. These are active practices that encourage focused intention, meditation, relaxation and spiritual growth through asana.
Yin-Restorative Yoga
This class is designed to progress from small movements like an infant on the floor to holding passive yin postures and restorative postures with props against the wall and on the floor. Great for balance, flexibility and circulation; relief of stress, stiff muscles and aching joints. This is a safe and slow moving class fit for beginner students new to physical activity, senior citizens and for those recovering from injury or illness. This is also a great class for those that are really active and would like to restore their body.
Course Prerequisites
Completion of a Yoga Certification program that meets or exceeds 200 hours of training.
“When I participated in the World Peace Yoga Foundational Yoga Teacher Training, I was still really a beginner in many ways in what I knew about yoga. With teacher training, everything felt new and wonderful. And the knowledge learned in the program, I have shared teaching others. While I have taught yoga for a number of years, I was intuitively aware that I needed to learn more about the deeper paths of the practice of yoga. Advanced Teacher Training (ATT) built on what I studied in foundational training and took me to a more mindful level of practice and with stronger teaching skills. The knowledge I now share in greater peace and confidence bringing a kinder practice to others and inner calm to me. Whether your initial teacher training was with World Peace Yoga or another studio, you may share a deeper sense of goodness for all and expand your “yoga mind” through the World Peace Yoga ATT.” -Lori Reidel

The Part I: Get Rooted program you might say is dipping your big toe in the water and the advanced program is a full on plunge. In this program there is only so much time to introduce topics, techniques, philosophy, and so on. The Part II: Go Deeper program takes both practice and teaching to a deeper level with more variety of techniques in asana, meditation, pranayama, cooking, and more. We also explore more profoundly the philosophy of yoga and other spiritual teachings, as well as taking on a greater leadership role in whatever one may choose to do in life.
The foundational program trains participants in how to teach yoga. The advanced program trains participants how to teach others to teach yoga. The advanced program is highly recommended to those interested in teaching yoga on a weekly basis, opening their own studio, conducting workshops, or training teachers.
