Yoga has been a constant for me in my adult life, as a way to connect with the present, peace, hope, and my body. It has been a tool to help me through some of the mostly trying times and so much more. I first came to yoga asana practice through my high school, the only day I would be excited for P.E. I later rediscovered it as a spiritual practice through community based yoga asana classes, research, and later going on to take Yoga Teacher Training. Yoga Teacher Training was a deeply transformative experience for me, and learning more of the philosophy behind yoga deepened my understanding of the practice beyond the poses.
Yoga has helped me tremendously with navigating mental health and daily life. It has continuously brought me back to the power of the breath and presence. Over the years I’ve begun to practice mostly on my own, and am looking forward to sharing the gifts of yoga in community. I am currently completing Advanced Teacher Training through World Peace Yoga.
